For division of a fraction by a fraction (something most people have never used in their lives after school), I prefer to make both fractions have the same denominator first. Changing fractions with different denominators to have the same denominator is work that focuses on the relationship, which is valuable for students. Let’s consider ¾ divided by ⅔. We can give both fractions a denominator of 12:

Multiply each fraction (which keeps the same fraction) until they both have the same denominator, in this case 12.
